I’m A Yoo Jae Suk Fan

I was on the Yoo Jae Suk soompi thread (yes, he has his own thread), and I came across this article:

Comedian Yoo Jae-seok rises as Hallyu MC

I’m a HUGE Yoo Jae Suk fan. I think he’s hands-down the best MC in Korea. Kang Ho Dong‘s a close second, but they have different MC styles.

Yoo Jae Suk Is Prime Husband Material

Once again, I was on the Yoo Jae Suk soompi thread, and I came across this article:

Late Bloomer Yoo Jae-suk

By Han Eun-jung
Staff Reporter

Comedian Yoo Jae-suk

In a recent survey conducted by a matchmaking agency that asked its female clients who they thought were the most eligible bachelors in the country, comedian Yoo Jae-suk came in fifth spot following K-pop sensation Rain, movie stars Jang Dong-kun, Song Il-kook and Cho In-sung.

Yoo is not the average dreamy heartthrob, nor does he share the same clean-cut good looks as the other stars. His signature bug eyes and lean figure are why he is affectionately called Meddugi (grasshopper) by his fans and co-stars but he is still one of today’s most popular television personalities.

Known for his good-natured and humble style of presenting, the three programs Yoo is currently emceeing are ranked in the top 10 most watched entertainment shows.

According to viewer ratings compiled by AGB Nielsen for November, KBS “Happy Together-Friends” ranked second with 15.7 percent, MBC “Muhandojon” was the third most watched program with 15.2 percent and SBS’ “Ilyoili Chota-X Man” was ranked ninth with 13.8 percent.

The 34-year-old comedian, who was discovered in 1991 through a talent search organized by KBS, was a late bloomer. Nearly a decade after his debut, Yoo landed a short but regular spot on the Seo Se-won Show that was the real start to Yoo’s career as a star comedian.

But once recognized for his candied tongue, whole-hearted charm and friendly image, he has seen offers to host shows roll in, securing his standing as TV’s most sought-after presenter.

Today Yoo is also the highest paid television presenter, earning 8 million to 9 million won ($8,000-$9,000) per episode. He is expected to earn approximately 200 million won this year alone.

His consistent presence on eligible bachelors lists over the past few years may be the reason local broadcasters and tabloids gave so much coverage to Yoo when rumors broke out that he was dating a television announcer. Last week, Yoo confirmed that he had been dating the Munwha Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) announcer Nah Kyoung-eun for the past four months.

They met on the set of “Muhandojon.” Cast mates like Park Myung-soo and Chung Jun-ha congratulated Yoo and asked him for details on his new romance.

After answering a few questions, Yoo said that he is careful of what he says because Nah is a public figure.

However Yoo did also say, “We are both of an age where we respect each other’s positions.”

Although Yoo has said in numerous interviews that the two have not discussed marriage yet, whether one of Korea’s most eligible bachelors gives up the honor sometime soon is something fans will just have to wait and see.

ROFLROFLROFL!!! Personally, I think Yoo Jae Suk should be #1 on the eligible bachelors list!!! Yeah, Bi Rain‘s hot, but that marriage is going to get old fast. But Yoo Jae Suk? That marriage is going to be freaking awesome. Haha.

For those out of the loop, this article’s old and Yoo Jae Suk’s already married.

Dance King Yoo Jae Suk

Who else here thinks that MC Yoo Jae Suk is the ultimate dance king???

He’s so uninhibited and free when he dances, like he’s releasing all the stress in his life, and he doesn’t care who sees.

People always say Bi Rain, U-Know Yunho, or Minwoo are the best dancers, but I think that Yoo Jae Suk occupies the title.

I want to dance as carefree as you, Yoo Jae Suk!!!

X-Man Christmas Special!!!

I’m a huge X-Man fan. This show was pure GOLD. The following X-Man episode is their 2006 Christmas Special Part I. Guests: Son Ho Young, JunJin, Andy, Chae Yeon, Brian, Baek Ji Young, Tei, Eru, Nam Gyu RiHeechul, Siwon, and Park Jung Ah + X-Man cast.

“His face is already loved by God.” ROFL! Siwonnie’s always so bashful about his good looks.

“Park Jung Ah is an MC too!”

Park Jung Ah looked sooo different back then.

Kang Ho Dong gets hit in the head during the game of dodgeball. “As an entertainer, my face is important!”

The lightening effects for Son Ho Young’s muscle shot is so LOL.

Park Myung Soo would rather be out than save Kang Ho Dong. What a friendship.

After the bear comment, people were rolling on the floor laughing for real.

“Image? I’ve abandoned that long ago.”

Son Ho Young’s ab shot was so useless. Hahaha.

MC Haha accidentally hits Kang Ho Dong in the nuts. ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Junjin is so freaking hilarious when he moves around like a b-boy.

Park Myung Soo wants the MC chair so bad.

Park Myung Soo has the funniest look on his face when they are doing the star formations. Sagittarius formation and North Star formation don’t protect the reindeer. Hahaha.

Kim Jong Kook left for the army not long ago!”

Kim Jong Kook Family Outing Episode Park II

Ramen Soup Subs released the second part of Kim Jong Kook‘s Family Outing episode recently. Whoo hoo!!!

In the strength rankings, Chunhee started off so cool kicking the sandbag. But in typical Chunhee style, he falls down in the end.

Stepmother Kim Sooro + Darth Vadar music = GOLD. It makes every Sooro scene funny.

Sooro slaps away Chunhee’s punch like nobody’s business. Sooro is an awesome fighter!

Elder vs. Yoo Jae Suk. Two old ahjusshis in the ring, it doesn’t get any better than this. When they fight, they look like chickens. In the end, Yoo Jae Suk gets punched in the butt. LOL!

Yoo Jae Suk has to sleep in the corridor, and he can’t accept the fact that he’s ranked 6th. This shouldn’t come as a big surprise to him because he’s always ranked last.

The ducks disappoint Sooro because they only laid one egg. Then again, meeting Sooro’s expectations is pretty hard.

Chunhee washes the radishes with soap. ROFL ROFL ROFL. Hahhahahahaahhaahahahahaha!!! Sooro’s reaction was TO DIE FOR.

When Chunhee and Sooro peel the radishes, I literally fell out of my chair laughing. Their expressions were so funny.

Sooro accidentally fries their only duck egg in vinegar. Can you imagine the taste of vinegar-fried egg? “It’s actually not bad. Adding vinegar actually makes the egg taste good. This is a new discovery.” Then stepmother and Cinderella try to pass a chicken egg off for a duck egg. Hahahaha. Elder’s kind of onto them. Lee Hyori‘s completely oblivious.

Yoo Jae Suk + Kim Sooro = Chorus 4eva!

The grandma leaves during Elder’s performance. Slap!!!

Yoo Jae Suk is AWESOME. He’s pure gold.

He tries to attack Park Myung Soo on the monkey bars, but ends up falling flat on his butt. ROFL!!!

He accidentally reveals who the X-Man is. Hahahaha. Then he tries to regain composure by walking off camera. Hahahaha.

I ❤ ❤ ❤ you, Yoo Jae Suk. BEST MC EVER.

Kim Jong Kook Family Outing Episode Part I

Kim Jong Kook‘s Family Outing episode was so awkward. This episode has been subbed by the awesome new subbing squad for Family Outing, Ramen Soup Subs!!! Check out their youtube channel here.

The haystack throwing game is so funny. I literally fell out of my chair laughing. Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Hyori both get hit by haystacks. Kim Jong Kook vs. Kim Sooro is so funny too. ROFL, the Darth Vader background music.

Hyori and Chunhee get chestnuts, and then Chunhee steps on a chestnut burr. Why do things like that only happen to Chunhee? Hahaha. Chunhee’s hoodie on Hyori + Hyori’s arm gestures were soooo cracktastic. I want a hoodie like that!

When good intentions go bad…Hyori accidentally burns Kim Jong Kook’s brand new shoes. Hahaha. She feels so bad.

Kim Sooro has never been so serious or work so hard before. Finally, evil Kim stepmother is putting his money where his mouth is.

After they finished cooking the duck and they said the taste was a bit bland, I was expecting Elder to break out the ramen packets like he usually does.

Who knew that Chunhee could play the bass? And that Yejin had perfect pitch? Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Sooro were the chorus who sang louder than the lead singers. So fitting. Hahaha.  Their choreography and rap were gold.

Rain’s Family Outing Episode

Rain‘s Family Outing episode with Kim Jong Kook was sooooo hilarious!

Rain’s afraid of octopus. He completely crumbles in front of them. Hehe.

The sand relay is to die for. All of the family members tidy themselves up because they realize that the video is probably going to be posted on youtube. It’s funny because it’s true. Hahaha. Kim Sooro‘s English is so funny! Daesung drops Yejin twice! I feel so bad for her. ROFL.

Yejin becomes unbearably nasally in front of Rain. Hahaha.

The evil Kim stepmothers!!! Kim Jong Kook ends up turning into evil stepmother number 2!!! I feel bad for Cinderella Chunhee sometimes. Haha.

Dumb and Dumber, awesome as always. They’re so afraid of Lee Hyori.

The praise competition at the end is so fun. Rain vs. Chunhee, Kim Jong Kook vs. Daesung, Yejin vs. Hyori, Yoo Jae Suk vs. elder, and Chunhee vs. Kim Sooro. Hahaha!!!

Check out all the parts below. Note you must turn on the youtube caption option at the bottom right of each video for English subs. (more…)
